2015 China International Advanced Carbon Materials Innovation and Venture Competition Ended Smoothly

On October 20, the "China International Advanced Carbon Materials Innovation and Venture Competition", which lasted more than four months, ended successfully, and the award ceremony was grandly held in Changzhou West Taihu Lake Science and Technology Industrial Park. Municipal and district leaders Wang Chengbin, Shi Xuyong, Aizimaiti, Liu Zhifeng, Secretary of the Party Working Committee and Director of the Management Commission of Changzhou West Taihu Lake Science and Technology Industrial Park, and Xu Chunyin, deputy director of the management Commission attended the award ceremony.

More than 120 projects at home and abroad have entered for the competition. After fierce competition in the preliminary, semi-finals and finals, a total of 10 projects have finally stood out. Among them, three projects recommended by Changzhou West Taihu Lake Science and Technology Industrial Park were particularly excellent. They were the "synthetic high thermal conductivity graphite cooling film" project of Changzhou Carbon Technology Co., Ltd. winning the first prize in the competition, the "R&D and industrialization of large-area graphene film and application products by CVD method" of Changzhou 2D Carbon Technology Co., Ltd. and "Industrial application of high specific surface area graphene" project of Changzhou Sixth Element Material Technology Co., Ltd. winning the second prize in the competition at the same time. In addition, the carbon material innovation and venture projects of seven companies, including the Electromagnetic Compatibility Center of the University of Houston, Beijing Fullcan Biotechnology Co., Ltd., and Shenzhen Xiwang New Materials Technology Co., Ltd., won the third prize.

At the award ceremony, four projects of Jiangsu Jiefeng High Tech, Shenzhen Xiwang New Materials, the Electromagnetic Compatibility Center of the University of Houston, and Wuxi Highbery Nano Materials, signed contracts to settle in West Taihu Lake Science and Technology Industrial Park. For the settled projects, they can get the reward of 1-3million Yuan from Changzhou Longcheng Talent Plan and 1:1 follow-up investment from West Taihu Industrial Fund according to the score of the competition and the invitation for venture capital investment.

In recent years, the West Taihu Lake Science and Technology Industrial Park has become a "Demonstration area for the agglomeration and development of venture capital in Jiangsu Province" by adhering to the concept of financial innovation, actively promoting the agglomeration of venture capital resources and preliminarily establishing a diversified investment system with state-owned venture capital as the guide, private venture capital as the main body, and overseas venture capital as the supplement. In order to cultivate and promote the development and growth of new projects, the West Taihu Lake Science and Technology Industrial Park also established the West Taihu Lake New OTC Market fund in cooperation with Shenzhen Qingyuan Venture Capital, established the advanced carbon material industry fund in cooperation with Changzhou Zhongdao Investment, and established the medical device industry fund in cooperation with Chuangsai Investment.
